Treasurer's Office
Welcome to the Treasurer’s Office section of the Finance website. It is our hope that you will find the resources that you are searching for on these web pages. If you need assistance on a particular topic, please use our treasury e-mail and your question will be promptly answered. We are committed to providing you with excellent customer service, even if your question is more appropriate to one of our business partners.
Recently, the Treasurer’s Office has been launching several new initiatives such as restructuring the university’s depository process, promoting compliance with Payment Card Industry (PCI) standards for accepting credit card payments, and a Human Subject Incentive Program (HSIP). Online training and more information are available for most of these programs through the menu selections in the navigation bar on the left side of this page.
In addition, the Treasurer's Office is responsible for the management and coordination of the University of Michigan’s Banking Relationships, Treasury Services, Debt Issuance and Compliance, as well as Insurance and Disability Management programs. Central management of these services allows more consistency in service applications, disaster recovery, and opportunities for better controls. We’re also able to leverage the volume of our transactions to lower banking costs for the university.
It is our goal to provide you with high-quality and cost-effective business solutions for your treasury needs. With that in mind, we are committed to creating an environment where our employees can step up and make a positive difference for you—and all of our customers at the university.
I am very interested in your feedback in how the Treasurer's Office, including these web pages, can better serve your business needs. Please contact me by e-mail with your questions and comments. I look forward to hearing from you.
