Military Service Deferment

Federal Perkins loans are eligible for a total of 36 months of economic hardship. This deferment can be granted in periods up to 12 months at a time.

A borrower enrolled and in attendance as a regular student in a course of study that is part of a graduate fellowship program approved by the Department of Education may defer payments.
