Effort Reporting Procedures - Non-Instructional Sponsored Pool Effort Certification Process
Regular employees paid from sponsored pool Shortcodes certify their effort when they report hours worked and exception time for each bi-weekly or monthly pay period.
- Unit reviews time reports for accuracy before processing. This may be a review by the employee, supervisor, principal investigator, unit administrator, or any combination of the four.
- When units identify effort distribution errors that have been incorrectly charged to Shortcodes, they should initiate a correction. (Refer to the Policy on Retroactive Salary Tranfers.)
