Nancy Hobbs

Director of Procurement Services
Nancy Hobbs is the director of procurement services at the University of Michigan. As director, Hobbs has overall responsibility for several key functions and services, including procurement, accounts payable, Print-Copy-Mail, and strategic contract management. The department manages a yearly spend of more than $1.5 billion and supports the Ann Arbor, Dearborn and Flint campuses as well as the U-M Health System. Hobbs has significant experience in strategic sourcing and accounts payable operations and worked in a number of key positions in U-M's Business and Finance division prior to becoming director of procurement services.
Before joining the university, Hobbs held several finance-related positions, ranging from chief financial officer to vice president of finance, at various manufacturing companies. She also worked as an auditor at Ford Motor Company and as a certified public accountant at Arthur Andersen. She holds a B.B.A. from the University of Michigan as well as an M.B.A. from Eastern Michigan University.
